All projects managed by Optima Resources are conducted on sound project management principles. These are often occur as a result of a problem which managers face where they do not have the resources to carry out the project in-house. The most common and simplest methodology for identifying tasks along a time line is the Gantt chart. It is a horizontal bar chart, which enables the manager to visualise the work and monitor its progress.
More complex techniques such as PERT/CPM (Program Evaluation and Review Technique / Critical Path Method) were developed to overcome the limitations of Gantt charts for large projects. But both require the identification of tasks and their time estimates for completing the tasks. A typical Gantt chart is illustrated below using a house project as an example :
